Sunscreen blinds can be used in combination with holland or blockout blinds. These dual blinds then work to provide privacy, light filtering and heat reduction during the day with the sunscreen blind allowing you to see out. At night the holland blind or blockout blind gives you privacy and reduces light entering your room. When sunscreen blinds are used in combination with holland blinds, we can instal them in two main ways. First, we recommend fitting the sunscreen blind in the window recess and the holland blind (blockout blind) to the face of the architrave. An advantage of installing sunscreen blinds in the recess and the blockout blind on the face is that the blockout blind overlaps your window more than the blind in the recess. This helps to reduce light entering the room which is especially beneficial in bedrooms and for windows which face the sun. Alternatively, both sunscreen blinds and holland blinds can be fitted with dual brackets. If fitted on the face of the architrave, however, it means that two blinds project into the room. We encourage many of our customers to tuck the sunscreen into the recess for a more tidy appearance. During our free in home consultation we can examine each of your windows and discuss the options and the advantages and drawbacks to help you make the best choice for your window coverings. There is a wide range of sunscreen blind fabrics available with different optical and thermal factors. We can discuss with you some of the many options depending on your needs for openness, shading or heat reduction. We are happy to assist in identifying colours and styles that suit your decor. There are many sunscreen blind fabric colours and base rail designs to choose. The powder coated metal base rails add a modern, contemporary look to your sunscreen blinds. In addition to sunscreen blinds we also sell all types of curtains and blinds including drapes, curtains, lace, sheers, blockout or blackout blinds, holland blinds, roller blinds, roman blinds, timber blinds, venetian blinds, vertical blinds, wooden blinds, plantation shutters and many more window coverings.
